The Coalwood Trilogy is excellent and the Josh Thurlow novels are not too far behind. I've found The Far Reaches hard to get into for some reason, though. It hasn't grabbed me in the way ALL of his other novels have. Perhaps it's too different from the previous two Thurlow novels. I'm about two-thirds of the way through it. After that, I'm looking forward to reading the rather unfortunately titled, Red Helmet...Steven J. I love historical fiction, liked quite a lot the first two in this series, and also loved his Rocket Boys trilogy.
